i still think even if you dont want manual in your car you should know how to drive one if need be. this is key right here. One plus to having a manual. When people ask you to borrow your car, you can say, oh well can you drive stick? They say no and I laugh. Keeps potential mooches away.

Any sub 11 ish second car will go faster with an auto and a decent converter. If you want it to go fast and you are in that range, go auto. Something with a manual valve body, nicely matched converter, and a good quality shifter. If you just want it to be fun and you like driving a stick, then keep it. I would prefer a stick if I were in your shoes Corey. Its not a racecar and you enjoy it. Leave it at that and keep enjoying it.

In a car I always prefer manual. Crawling rocks I miss my automatic, but that might be because I don't have extreme crawling gears. For commuting, I wish I had an auto as well.

In my wheeling rig, auto all day everyday no question. In a car that i drive around town for fun like a muscle car or sti i would go manual just because its more fun. I like to try the most technical trails i can offroad so stick is just more of a hassle in my jeep than anything. AW4 FTW.

I dont mind my auto, the only time i really like having it is on my 4hr drive to school. Otherwise id prefer to drive around town with a stick.
