then why do the instructions say it's EASIER to remove it and set it on end on a workbench?!?!

fuck instructions. my sye was about an hour and half maybe 2 hours, including removing the 2 needle bearings and cutting the shift fork.
the instructions also say "allow 8-12 hours to complete"

i'm not saying it was hard, only that it took too much effort to get the thing out, having known it would be easier to do with it left in, I would have. but I also didn't want to lay or try to sit under the vehicle while doing all of that.

i'm sure you were.
BTW - Richmond gear can eat my balls. I told them they packaged a wrong part and they told me they'd send out what I need. I call back a week later, come to find out THEY'RE BEING MANUFACTURED. FUCK YOU. Why didn't they tell me that when I asked the first time. So now they're apparently sending a warranty part. which they say is as good as a production part, and that when the production part arrived I can swap in that one.. WTF is wrong with these people??
