You need an SYE for it, becuase you cant use a stock rear shaft on it, I believe they are too long.. I might be mistaken, but if I recall correctly, thje stock rear shaft is too long..
Anyways, yeah get an SYE and use a front shaft.
Make sure you get the flange that is part of the axle, otherwise you have to order a spicer flange adapter which is another 30 bucks

yeah i figured it would be too long. I think I will get a "shaft reduction". I don't really want to spend $500 on that damn SYE. I got through the lift without it, and I sure as hell want to keep going without it on a matter or principle. I did buy the special spicer flange. I would like to know how much I need to shorten the shaft by. and how much that goes for. cause I'd order 2 from levines. I just don't want to fuck with my t-case.

get an sye.
pro's
only have to carry one spare driveshaft. if you toast your rear driveshaft fluid doesnt spill out everywhere and you can still drive home without a gatorade bottle duct taped you your transfer case. TRUST ME it will be smoother. and you can shim that pinion so it's further out of the rocks.

stock rear driveshafts toasted in SIS=many
stock front driveshafts toasted in SIS=none
they do appear weaker. and they have more wear components, but keep them lubed up and your good.
I run a stock front driveshaft in the front and rear of my xj.
