I wish houses that we will be looking at are going to being that range. I'm a few years older but in the areas we want a home it is way more than that yea dude, unless your buying a shack there isn't anything for less than 300K around here either. sucks

From personal experience. you don't need a CC to buy a house. All they look for is 3 bills that you have been paying for 1 year and you have a full time job in the field you went to school for or the same employer for a couple years. I had cell phone, student loans, car insurance, and no CC. No credit is better than bad credit. I didn't get a CC until after I bought my house for emergencies then last year I build my jeep on my CC close to $20K, I looked at it as a car loan. Who was going to give me a car loan for Dana 60s
Check out chfa.org Connecticut first time home buyers assistance it is the cheapest 30yr fixed rate note you can get no private mortgage company can come close that is why no one tells you about it and you only need 3%down. You can probably afford a house easier than you think.
In my wallet too much to list but no $$. And I hear you on the student loans I don't think I'll ever pay mine off. I also know a bunch of people over $100K so don't feel to bad.

PA is so much cheaper - plenty of houses between $100-$200K......so unless you guys are making over $100K/year I don't see how you could afford a $300K house.
