The only thing I have is a personal loan. I want to get out of my parents house next year and I'm not going to rent an apartment. Need to build credit for future purchases. Hard to buy a house with unestablished credit I'd imagine. My wallet doesn't have any credit cards in it now but should soon enough If you don't have any student loan or credit cards, one personal loan will help buy won't build you a whole lot of credit. If someone is going to give you a mortgage to buy a house, your going to have credit established from a variety of agencies that that have you in good standings.

your also gonna need 20% to put down on the house. 300000K house = 60000K needed plus good credit.

0 loans 0 credit cards 0 debt
Off to a decent start. I wont take out a loan either unless it is for a car or house.

Hence why i'm looking around for a credit card. I'm not looking for advice, simply stated why I had it. My credit report now shows 1+ thing and that is my loan cause it's always paid on time.

My plans are to save up the 20% before I move out anyways. Who the hell buys their first house at 300,000 dollar and at 21 years old or less anyways?

I don't have college/student loans. Parents & Grandparents invested wisely for me when I was young. Both jeeps I paid for in cash. I have 1 credit card. I pay the balance every month and its usually only $100. I live at home still. I'm saving money pretty fawkin fast lately... Esp w/ these lowering gas prices. = lower commuting and wheeling costs. I put 15% of my paycheck into a 401K as well.

I dont know if there is anything left of my 401k. at the end of summer i had about $3500 in it and i dont know if there is anything left of it (its in a n IRA right now) and i havent had a chance to look at the most recent statement.
I need to start paying more towards my debts, i usually try to double the minimum payment but obv thats not always possible. I think if i keep doing that along with using my tax return to help out with bills i should be below the 50% paid off mark by summer ish. I hope. Then i need to save for a home/condo/appt.
