Sam i think that looks great, And if you matched the rear it would look even better. But Beacuse ia m OCD i would want to fully weld the material at least to the fender and just tack the sheet metal along the tube. Nice work, and water in the rear always sucks, thats why there is no carpet in my jeep from rear seat back.

now my steering box leaks out of every orifice, i have to top it off daily, sooo, time for steering box, this is #2 or 3 for me so no more stockers
im thinkin just head to the junkyard and grab a durango box, or waggy box. i would like a psc unit, but junkyard swaps make me feel like i accomplished something and will get the job done much cheaper.

already got inner/outer braces
i went to the same place i got the steel rod and it turns out i got lucky last time.
the rod costs $55 and i paid $5, the guy screwed up. the sheet said "$.4202 per part" then it said in fine print "part= 1" the kid probly thought it was 4 bucks and change or some shit. anyway i walked out of there not feeling like paying $55 for something i got for $5 a couple days before.
but i gotta do the rear fenders anyway before wednesday, so ill probably head back in there and pay up

i have extra cherokee box or 3 i talked to my buddy today about his stauns, he said he was running them on a 14" wide 16.5 and they recalled the size because the way a rim that wide is made causes the staun to want to fold under itself and blow up. Since then hes gone to a narrower steel 16.5 but is waiting to see what his next tire choice is going to before getting into wheels. so yea unless your going to run a 14" wide aluminum wheel i think youll be ok with the stauns

Your doing the elephant ears for legal reasons correct? I'm guessing that if you cut those down to 3-4" they would look much better and would probably be good enough for the cops. It was a whole hearted attempt and I'm sure that if you told them that you got ticketed for no flares and now you have flares they would understand your troubles.

finished the rear flares. they don't look as bad as the fronts due to being 4" wide as opposed to 8. and they come in handy as a step to get to the roofrack
i have a bunch of scrap 3/16" and 1/8" so i think im gonna take on some shackle boxes for the rear. lower the upper mount and bring it forward

shackle boxes are a gewd idea. why dont you cut the front down from 8" to 4"?
