last night i made the alt bracker, didnt snap any pics tho, nothing fancy and kinda a pain to build, took 3 tries to get the alignment halfway decent and i managed to get a metal shaving in my eye. Tried and tried to wash it out, wipe it out, magnet it out and no luck, while driving the the emergency room i blinked and it came out. What a night. But i stopped at my buddys house and checked out some tires.... 32x9.5x15 Super swamper TSLs... soon to be on the jeep along with a winch

nice man. are you using a lead additive for the fuel? those carbs are easy to rebuild i just did one a few months ago for my cj5. great looking jeep man. i havent used a lead additive yet but i have been thinking about it, i definately need to research it a little, id hate to hurt that engine. yes the carbs are very simple, when i first got the jeep i had it apart like 4 times because of all the rust in the stock tank Ive heard that you can just add marvel mystery oil into the gas and it will make up for the lack of lubricity the unleaded fuel has. I plan on trying this next time i see my cj5 up in VT.

My teacher is the only medical staff at my school and he says over 50% of his calls are for debris in the eye removal. Best thing to do is cover both eyes for a while so they are not moving at all and it can work itself out of the eye. Good thing it came out cuz getting it DRILLED out is not fun ive heard.

Yea i was pissed, its happened to me before the closest icve been is sitting in the ER waiting to get it taken out and i blinked and it pulled out. With metal i have been pretty successful with a magnet

Thats a gm alternator. 120 amp? 63 amp rated stock, and when you rev it the ammeter says so. Double what the generator puts out on a good day

ok a little more detail, i was driving home from dinner in westbrook and the jeep started to get noisier than usual. I thought it might be the clutch, but it was just the driveline ebrake (stock drum brake on the rear output of the transfer case) had become loaded up with road depris becuase of the fairly bad pinion seal leak. Trailering it to my shop Now that I have it all apart I'm doing some general repairs, as well as getting it ready to take on a week long vacation to rausch creek in july. I am replacing the rear transfer case output seal, transfer case gaskets, rear pinion seal and inner wheel seals. I also welded the rear end for some extra traction and im going to be putting my winch on and maybe dual batteries heres some pics of the welded rear. All of the diffs I weld (I am up to about 20 under my belt now) I do with my miller DC stick welder using 7018 rod. Painted true miller blue of course more pics soon
