Thanks guys i am really glad you all liked it.
Doug, that was my original idea behind this exhaust was how to get it out of the way cause i was tired of dragging it on the ground and i didnt want to ruine another professionally installed exhaust. I looked at it for a while and pondered the idea and got some assistance from the shop if it would all fit. Then i just cut the hole and lined it with 3.5 in pipe welded it in and let the shop do the rest. This really is the best shop around. These guys will try anything once. The guy who did it liked it even more than i did i think.
I am extremely pleased with it. it sounds great especially right at 2500 rpms and its all made so nicely. So yes corey it was my idea and that is my basis with my entire jeep, i try to do anything i can myself and i want everything i do to be different from anyone elses i have seen. i hate copy cats. All my friends locally that have xjs do something different than the other and this was my fav so far. Hence why i am doing the Beijing 2500 front end cause noone around here has it and i strive to be different.

Bet there will be many people stealing your idea. If I had a nickel for every stock tailpipe i've seen smashed, bent, or wrapped around I'd probably have some change in my pocket. This idea solves that problem.

This idea solves that problem. I am sure there will be, but it takes alot of work to get it this nice. yea you can cut a hole and put it in but i took the time to line it with pipe and weld it in so its nice a clean looking. That and i doubt anyones home job can compare to the work Lou's Custom Exhaust did on my jeep. Oh and today my new Bilstein 5125 8" 255/70 valved rear shocks arrived. These are beautiful and SS bodies too. I think i am still gonna clear coat them though cause NH is brutal on shocks and i have had brand new shocks rust out within 2 months of winter. I wanna protect these expensive beauties. Only other issue is it does not say if they are can up or can down and i prefer the can up way cause to me it protects the shock more but i dunno maybe its better the other way?

Well good, now i dont have to flip them. They ride so much better than any shock i have run before. I cant wait to get 5150s up front.
Oh and i am buying all the parts needed (minus tanks ) to run my own portable oxy/acetylene torch.
My Beijing front end wont be in the US till early/mid January then it has to ship from Cali to NH. Then i will mock it all up, trim what i have to trim and a guy i know that does custom painting will do the header panel and fenders for $350 or add a hood for $500 and the hood will have louvers pressed in to it by a local shop with a louver press. SO the front end essentially wont be on till spring.
Then some time after x mas we are welding in my stiffeners and the front end stiffeners as well as tieing in my arb and making new mounts on it and tieing in my RE drop brackets. Then the last major thing i want to do is make a belly pan.
