It is also pretty unreal that the size difference between the 950 JDJ is to the 10 Eichelberger Pup, even though for the mass and size of the 950 JDJ still goes 1000 FPS slower then the 10 Eichelberger Pup, thought the JDJ is designed for low velocities and mass upon contact while the Eichelberger is designed to showcase the lower limits of wildcat manufacturing.
oops wrong forum.

Is the ring gear on your d 44 any bigger or smaller than my xj d44 or any? it looks it or maybe its just cause i have not seen my d 44 ring gear next to my d 30 ring gear. BTW Skyjacker hydro 7000's are the best bang for the buck shcok out there IMHO, i have run them many times and been very pleased. Much better than the free doestch techs that came wuth my re 5.5" lift, next i am going bilstein 5150 front 5100 rear. that's good to hear, i got them cause they were 140 to my door and new! my dana 44 ring gear is 8.5" and i'm pretty sure that's standard 44 size

i think that would be a lot of stress on that crossmember. maybe make a new one from square tubing and reinforcce where it attaches to the frame. maybe i am wrong, just my 2 cents. i am admittedly a cherokee newbie. but your fabriccation skills look like they are where they need to be

i am going to beef it where it looks like it may be sub-par. the way i looked at it was the crossmember is pretty beefy where it needs to be and theres no sense in re-inventing the wheel. plus i don't have any square tubing.

cut off. start over. IMO.
stock cross member is not go flight. to quote the homos on JF "do it once do it right"
make a crossmember thatll double as a skid and be 100x more substantial and youll be a lot more pleased with it.
those things are stamped hollow

STOP
do not work off the stock crossmember, that shit is scary
and 4 small oldass mounting points will not be up to the job of supporting your entire front axle.
work off the frame or build a new crossmember out of something legit.
you do not want your arms to tear off your crossmember thenhave your transmissionand transfercase dragging in the ground then your fan goes through your radiator.
