thanks thanks thanks built my twin sticks tonight, it was kind of a nightmare. about halfway through i was ready to give up and get a part time job to buy the setup instead of spending all the time making it. but once I figured it out it did come out well and I am really happy with it. Here is the setup I was copying from Bronco Graveyard I also used this as a refernce from wild horses 4x4 So here is the not so finished product, but all of the major work is done. I still have to put the finishing touched on but they shift pretty smooth... Im going to add these grease fittings as shown here and here are the knobs, nothing special, out of a chevy fullsize(s)

started by pulling the jeep out of its corner with the other jeep I decided id ease into it but installing my Als basement machine shop arms. I decided to weld in the grease caps I took the king pins apart because i thought i forgot to put in the upper seal, but really i didnt. But anyway heres some kingpin porn for you d30 lovers heres the lower kingpin cap. i made a little grease fitting guard so the grease fitting doesnt get torn off on rocks steering arm installed with ARP studs and 60 degree cone nuts I didnt include much of it in my build, but the front axle is a HPd60 from a 78 ford. It is narrowed 4.5 inches on the long side and shaved 1/2 inch. Heres a pic of the 1/4" plate i welded to the bottom of the diff after i cut the lip off the bottom. I wish i took more pics of the front axle build so then i attempted to put together my driveline. what a fuck show! to start off, the special pilot bushing that i ordered from novak to adapt a chevy engine for ford tranny was the wrong ID. By some amazing luck, my friend brian (bigburban) had the appropriate 43/64 drill bit to drill it to the proper size for the ford pilot. I assembled my clutch Then when I went to put my transmission and engine together, i found my bellhousing was too small! I am running an 11" clutch and the flywheel wont fit inside the bellhousing. So i need to get a different one, from a chevy car with a big block it looks like. Hopefully this week will go smoother, as i search for parts and try to set up my front end

Got a bellhousing this week, from an 87 chevy truck with a hydralic clutch. Fits my flywheel and has a slave cylinder bracket. There are two different diameter chey bearing retainers: 4 11/16" used on cars and 5 1/8" used on trucks. I have a ford transmisson but had the bearing reatiner machined to 4 11/16" My new bellhousing is for a 5 1/8" so I had to order and adaper ring from Novak adapters before I can go any further

got some steering this week from grag aka banditt redneck ram, steering box , 1.5" steering links with 1 ton ends, heavy duty diff cover. Also got my chevy bellhousing adapter ring from novak as seen in the pictures. I was able to mount up my new larger bellhousing. and put my drivetrain together and put it in my jeep The drivetrain is too low and the jeep is too high so ill probably me making some changes. Today I trailered the jeep to my shop where it will stay til its done.

just got home from sweating my balls off at the shop, but i messed around with my leaf and got the jeep a lot lower and softer. its about 3-4 inches lower in front and 5-6 in the back with lower spring rates. Looks a lot better from the standpoint of driveline angles even with my plans of raising the driveline some. more to come
