Can we compile a list of manufacturers that sell their long arm kits by themselves, as in no coils, leaves, etc. And which are bolt on and which need to be welded... (I think you can see where im going with this)
"Bolt On": TNT - $1000 Rusty's - $790 RE - 1000 bucks
Weld On: Clayton Hard Arm Rock Krawler - $600

The only reason to have long arms is flex. Why do want flex? So when you are on uneven terrain both wheels will contact the ground so you will have max traction. Without a locker no amount of flex will make a difference.

flex serves its purpose. but is wayyyyy overrated. the only times i have lifted a tire have had nothing to do with not having enough flex.
but longarms serve more of a purpose than just flex.
such as better control arm angles. the flatter the angles the more likely that tire is likely to get above an obstacle.
with shortarms the axle will have to move forward to get up an obstacle. with longarms the axle wont have to move nearly as forward to get above the obstacle, just up.
and lastly= better ride.

im putting aussies in both but thats a given, with my height my short arm angles are so bad that the road ride is terrible and the flex is limited so a long arm kit will likely be done. I wish I had the means to make one my self but im no welder or metal worker so thats somewhat out of the question.... the sad thing is im looking at the rustys and other than the fact that the radius arms arent angled like the tnt it doesnt look that bad...
