Ok I am going to be re-gearing. 94 XJ 4.o and its an Auto... I have a set of 35's I will be running on, so my question is this.
What is better, and I do a LOT of street driving, like 80 Miles a Day...
4.56 or 4.88?
D30 front and Ford 8.8 Rear with LSD.
Please don't tell me to upgrade the D30, I know all about it. Thanks in advance!

4.88s
You shouldn't consider 4.56s in my opinion.
I have 37s with 4.56s right now. If I were to regear... I would go with 5.38s.
4.88s all the way.

basically everyone on this site running 35s has 4.88s or plans to run 4.88s on them(35s). I however ran 4.56s on 35s for 2 weeks and it was more than fine. Either way youll be fine. 4.88s will be better performance, you should probably just go with the 4.88s. there is no real downside other than maybe a very very slight MPG difference. 4.10s 31s 4.56s 33s 4.88s 35s 4.56s 37s (doug) jk

Ive got 4.56's with 35's and they seem perfect together. Personally, I would only do the 4.88 if you plan on doing more trail driving than street driving.

Will I have enough power offroad with teh 4.56's?

Steve aka joker4ink has a bigger engine.
4.88s are ideal for 35s
It will bring you closer to stock than 4.56s would
