What am I better off with. Genuine Gears or Yukon.
The Genuins are 400.00 and the Yukons are 450.00 both with master install kits.

i have genuine myself and have had no issues. but theres a lot of people ive spoken with with first hand experience with them that has been very sub-par. only reason i have em is cuz i got em by accident i probably wouldnt buy em again if i had the chance just based on that dont wanna half ass gears, doesnt help theyre owned by 4wheelparts

but lifetime warranty.
i guess if i screw one up it will chew everything in the diff up, and then i gotta get the axle regeared once again, also buy new parts that got chewed up.
that is why i'm not putting money into my 30 and waiting for my waggy 44 to build up

the g2s are a hardend gear ... something like that. they have a extra step that makes them pretty strong i dont no what it is though

personally i dont see any reason to cheap out on gears that already have a bad reputation instead of spending a miniscule amount extra on trusted sets that have proven themselves and earned a good rep.
the ring and pinion is a pretty integral part of your driveline

But... You have them dude, and you have no problems? So why would you go against them?
They also have a lifetime warrenty?

so should they fail immediatly as soon as i put em in? that logic doesnt make sense
just cuz they havnt given me problems yet doesnt mean it was a wise investment. if you wanna save a couple bucks and cheap out on something as important as gears be my guest, but the lifetime warranty is a pretty void point seeing as the big cost isnt the gears themselves but the hassle and big cost of regearing the axle itself with them. which they do not cover. if you wanna do it right, do it with proven parts, otherwise youre just taking an unecessary chance
do a search on any forum for genuine brand gears and youll get the same response from the majority
