My cousin Just bought an S2000... CASH because we dont believe in PAyments or owing money. He was telling me about his buddy that just bought an STI(obviously this story works for any car just so happened its an STI). His insurance alone is 450$/month (fuckign outrageous) so 450*12 =5400$/year just for insurance... lets say your car payment is 250$ which I think is low but Ive never had a payment.... thats another 3000$ so far that is 8400$ for a car each year. Lets say you make 35000$ year... take out like 30% for taxes, medical insurance whatever..... that leaves 245000$ So 24,500-8400= 15,600 Still in your pocket for living expenses.... for example my old apartment was 1000$ a month thats 12000 year..... leaves you with 3600$ I am with Rich on this one, All that for a car you can't "really" afford? nothing like wrc... lol im just thnking about it and its a very tasty idea.  sti. but who knows, maybe ill go with a gti or just a rabbit i dont do the saving thing too well. im sure once i get a reliable income ill get better at it. we'll see. you need to learn.. living paycheck to paycheck you'll never get far.. P.S. It is your money so do what you will with it.... there are people on this site that have debt and wish they didnt.... learn from us. I have been lucky enough to avoid the debt by sitting down and playing with numbers b4 i do anything. |

under 25 and driving an sti = insane insurance rates. Also that car is going to be a min. of $20,000 (for a beat one)
sounds like a good investment if you want to live at mommy and daddy's forever.
