Your talking spanish to me. All I know is there is a wrx and then there was the sti option and that the sti is faster. Pretty much all of my knowledge about bubarus. And that the trannys break easily.

Yea your thinking about the WRX transmissions. The WRX trannies are plain jane 5spds and are very weak. The STI 6 speed transmission was designed by Prodrive (same company that builds the subaru WRC cars) The STI 6 spd is like 500% stronger than the WRX 5 spd.

the 02 wrx trans was the worst, being the first year of the american turbo model. after that it got better and then the sti version got better than that every other year. my 02 trans exploded like the POS it was

Eww. I was just talking to a buddy from school about this and just can't justify why anyone would want to spend that much on a car that can't take a beating anyway. The only way to get them to move fast is to drop the clutch at 6 grand from a stop. Other than that they are nothing special. Plus they can't take those high rpm drops very long, have known/heard of many stories of losing transmissions. If it were me and I was going to blow 15,20,25 grand or so on a car I'd get an 02 camaro and throw a set of turbos on it. That's a car no-one else has and would completely demoralize a sti and still have a bunch of money left over. Just my 2 cents. Then you could do burnouts and drifting too with ease.
