isnt there a law or something that after 2 or 3 DUI's you have to breathe into a breathalyzer in your car before it will start?

Im not sure if it's a law, but they do have something like that for people who have excessive DUI's. I have heard stories from people having to do that. You have to breath into an it tell you your BAC an wont even turn the car on or anything. As for feeling bad, you definitely did the right thing. Like someone said before if you witnessed him swerving in traffic and almost hitting people and then actually did you would have felt worse. It was their decision to drive drunk; they should deal w/ the consequences and calling the cops is nothing to feel bad about.

You did the right thing. I am the same way, if i see odd driving behavior and suspect a drunk driver i will make the call as well. It will stop unnecessary deaths and injuries and hopefully help the drunk driver change their life for the better. isnt there a law or something that after 2 or 3 DUI's you have to breathe into a breathalyzer in your car before it will start? I believe thats true but in most places its to the point with people that if they get more than 1 or 2 DONE no more license ever and thats the way it should be. I know people that have had at least 5 DUI's and still got their license back because of lawyers and such. FUCK that after 2 take it forever. You dont deserve it any more. and car in the hands of a drunk driver is a very deadly weapon and if you go more than 2 times you dont deserve to get it back.

I have zero tolerance for drunk drivers and I cant stand it. I have done some really really stupid things in my life, and drunk driving is not one of them. When I was 16 before I started really driving and becoming a partier, my dad sat me down and told me a story about his best friend in high school and how he destroyed not only his own life, but someone elses because he was drinking and driving. He was paralyzed for life and had to live with not only that, but live with the guilt that he murdered someone.
I will never drink and drive, ever. I dont care If I had one beer. Im gonna wait one hour before I even consider driving, or get a ride. Buzzed driving is drunk driving.
Me and justin called in a drunk driver once. He was riding a motorcycle weaving in an out between us and the other lane. It was a small dark windy country road. He was riding in the other lane, and had no lights on. If a car would have came, he would have been fucked. He called the cops and he got arrested pretty quick. Come to find out he was already on a suspended license for DUI. At first, I felt kinda bad that I coulda ruined this guys life pretty bad. But then I look at it like I coulda saved his life and prevented him from killing himself or someone else.
Drunk driving is one of the most irresponsible thing anyone can do, incredibly selfish.

Don't feel bad, you did the right thing. One of my friends in high school was hit head on by a drunk driver but she was relatively okay because they were going slow. Of course when I showed up to her house all I knew was that drunk driver hit her and she was at the hospital. Scared the crap out of me. Even if that hadn't happened I still wouldn't have any tolerance for that kind of idiotic behavior. I have stood up to people I didn't even know that were trying to leave parties when I didn't think they were good to go. I don't care who you are, it's never okay.

My fiance and I were hit head on by a drunk driver almost two years ago now. We're lucky we were in my car and not hers or atleast one of us would probably be dead. It was not his first time, and it has affected both of our lives profoundly. I was injured, and am no longer able to do many things I used to enjoy, and what I am able to do tends to be at a limited level. It really sucks to be 21 years old and know that you could be messed up for the rest of your life because somebody who knows better decided to be stupid. Thank you for calling! Hopefully you helped to save somebody from being hurt or losing their life because of this driver.

From the sound of things it seems like you did yourself and russ a favor, that guy a favor, and everyone else in his path a favor
