if my jeep sits in the rain the rear brakes lock up for the first few uses

Mine locks up aswell, sometimes a it happens after a few times. Its something you get used to.

i have had drum brakes lock up with a touch of the pedal when damp, they are sticky til they dry out.

Mine lock up in the rain. I just brake accordingly. They've always done it

I'm pretty sure they lock up after being in the rain because a little surface rust builds up on the rotors. I don't like abs its one step closer to the terminator.

mine always do it for the first 1-3 brakes while its damp or raining.

same here. i was going through the parking lot the other day after it had rained and i hadnt driven it in a few days and a girl went to cross so i put on the brakes and my tires locked up. she jumped pretty high and gave me a dirty look

The only thing I do, is let them warm up when they are damp. Once dry, they tend to work fine for me.
