ok so i fixed my coolant leak problem, and my jeep didn't like not having anything wrong with it so it developed this brake issue today. i get in and start it and my red brake light is on and my check antilock light is on. The check antilock light has been on since i got it though. I figured the ebrake was stuck up so i engaged and disengaged it several times and it was still on. At this point I said fuck it and drove down my road, but when i hit the brakes its like i have no power brakes and it barely slows down. I turn around and park it back in my yard. A few hours later start it back up no red brake light, drives fine stops fine. It did this all day today power brakes no power brakes. Then one time i was driving with no power brakes and all the sudden they came back. wtf yo? sorry for the essay

check for leaks/seeps, wheel cylinders n such and get a fresh bleed in there
that light comes on when your brakes suck. to get it off temp just jab the brake pedal once really hard, but that of course isnt the fix.

ok I know I have plenty of fluid I checked the level earlier today. I know next to nothing about brakes except that I need them to stop. It really feels like I've lost the power to them. the pedal is really stiff and I have to stand on it to stop.

amber light means issue with ABS but the base brake system will work fine. Red light means issue with base brake system and you could lose brakes at any time so do not drive. lol. check for vaccum leaks

ohhh ok so you think my mastercylinder is shot? Or there's just a vacuum line cracked or off?

I forgot to add that my brakes when they worked always grumbled and I could feel it in the pedal. But when my red brake light is on, they do not grumble. It sucks not having the time to sit there and diagnose the problem as I am 100+ miles away from that shitbox most of the time. I am thinking about just handing the keys to the mechanic and being like please fix.

mine does the same thing its really annoying, im going to check all the lines and the booster. i checked all my brakes the other day they all looked fine.

ok so the jeep is at the mechanic's and I get a call from my dad today saying that the abs module is fucked up (which i knew) and wanted to know what exactly was going on with the brakes. When he drove he said they worked ok and they grumbled (meaning they weren't doing what they were when I was driving it). This is really starting to piss me off is it possible to by passthe ABS shit while keeping power brakes? I just want to be able to stop on occasion. But the general consensus here is that the master cyl. is fawked? I dunno whats going on there it sucks not being home in this situation.
