im going to swap out the 27 splines in my 8.25 with 29 spline shafts.
What kind of carriers do i need to get? what else am i going to need??

Wouldn't it just be easier to replace the whole axle then to take apart the 27 spline and swap every 29 spline component into it?

You need to get the carrier that comes out of the 29 spline 8.25.

guess it didn't take long for my reputation of having a heavy foot on the rocks to catch me...... hahaha i got better as i tryed to learn i think, it was my first time ever wheelin like tht. ......... it might even be smart lookin for a d60......

D60 would be overkill. You'd be banging the diff on alot o rocks... especially w/ your 31s.

Just get a 44 or an 8.25 29 spline and swap it in. No reason to dissect the 27 spliner. Just sell it so some jeepforum n00b.

Just sell it so some jeepforum n00b. x2, even though the 27 is fine for 33s. mine was fine locked on 33s, and now someone whose harder on the gas than me has in and was out last night pulling holeshots in parking lots. only reason to rip apart a 27 spline to 29 is if youre reagearing(since you need to set up the new carrer) and your housing/brakes are good.
