i don;t have the money to link and airshock it, i found out that i either have to outboard the springs, or cut the axle tube and get a new passenger axle you basically hit the nail on the head. Or... what kind of 60 front is it? I know a chevy 60 front will basically bolt into a YJ. Sounds like you have an 80 or newer ford 60 front. the 78-79 ford 60 fronts have a narrower spring perch width than the 80 and newer. what I'm saying is if money is an issue you can sell it and get something that fits better. Pirate 4x4 tech section has a dana 60 bible with all the dimensions you will need. I would check it out if I were you And from mine and everyone elses experience with 60 fronts...you pay to play: dana 60 parts are a lot more than 44. Everything is 2 to 3 times more with a 60 front than a 44: U joints, brakes, etc And speaking of price, getting back to what you said of narrowing or outboarding. If you have to tools, you can build a narrowed 60 for about 200 bucks if your only cutting one side. My flattie has a narrowed 78 ford 60 front and the custom axleshaft was $212 shipped from Dutchman, there is more info about it in my build thread. As far as outboarding goes again if you have the tools, the cost is only buying the steel. Outboarding your springs will make the jeep more stable but slightly hinder the suspension a little based on the simple fact that the farther the spring is in from the tire, the more leverage the terrain has on the spring. Good luck, and If money is a major issue, sell that 60 and buy a 44 and all the parts to build it. Take it from me, you get to wheel a lot more if your shit is not sitting in the garage waiting for parts
