so want to put a sub in your jeep without takeing up all your space for when the parts fall off from the daily offroad abuse...? i know theres a place that sells a prefab thing for like an 8" sub that does this same thing but its like 100 bucks.... i made this lil box outta 1/4" ply and covered it with some outdoor carpeting form lowes it cost me 20 bucks to make. it fits over the wheel well and i mounted the amp to it as well. it takes up no more room than the spare on the other side. i have a 10" MTX sub powerd by an eclipse EA2000 its by no means crazy loud but i listen to mostly rock and its plenty for me the sub called for a 13x13x13 but this box is open on the back cuz i used the side of the truck as the back and that little cut out space on the right side of the XJ to get full 13" without haveing to take up the trunk space its just screwed into the plastic pannel and works really well ;D ill ya get some better pics of it if n e one wants to try it out let me know...

I did the same thing a few years ago now but fit a 12" Alpine Type S. Works great and easy enough to remove when I want extra room. Fits right into that pocket there

My idea was to get rid of this amp and get one that would fit on the back of the box under the part that covers the wheel well but I just never bothered since I didn't want to spend the $

I specifically remember burning my hand on the seat belt thing when i had to reach under there to grab it.

well clearly I am wrong. It's possible someone else I knew had a similar set up with heat problems. I apologize.
