for those of you who have gone from drop brackets to long arms, was it really all that much better or do you just feel the need to say so since you dropped so much coin on it.

you can get longarms for about the price of drop brackets and adjustable upper and lowers
for me I didn't even consider drop brackets because I saw that I could get a better performing suspension for cheaper

drop brackets are the way to go 100% long arms are dumb and people that do them just upgrade their jeeps for bragging rights at the mall. people that say other wise just get dissed on hard...

rock krawler 3-link. /thread. i had rockkrawler short arms before, their joints suck. i also would rather have my axle held in more secure than just 1 upper. i know a guy who wrecked his tj and messed himself up pretty bad after haveing the upper break on the road.

OK, I have had my RE 5.5" lift that came with drop brackets in my jeep for 2 years now w/o any issue what so ever. I think it flexes just as well as the guys on here with long arms and i have not really noticed a Poor ride or anything that i would not expect for ride quality on a jeep lifted on 35s. I say if your building it piece by piece go long arms or get a TNT long arm kit but if you ahve to save $$ get the RE drop brackets, (the include sufficient reinforcing plates unlike other brands i have seen)
In the end i would say go long arms if you can but i dont think there are any real faults to drop brackets except for the occasional scraping of the brackets on rocks (i have made skids for this but need to weld them on)
