Blower motor resistor. Dealership only. I have had to change one in every jeep i have owned, 4 total, and only once has it melted a plug. Just get a new resistor and go to a bone yard and clip off the pigtail for a new plug.

u can solder in a thermal fuse for 1.70 or something from radio shack. thats what i did

i soldered in the fuse. tested the resistor itself and the blower motor, they work normally. but when i hook it all up to the harness, i get nothing but a relay click.
