My front d30 is leaking fluid and I'm almost positive its my inner or outer axle seal. I haven't really messed around with mine other than taking my axle shafts out and changing u-joints.
I'm thinking since I can't find much info that its got to be a real PITA. Does anyone have a walk through or anything I can read before I purchase things or research this problem any more?

Basically disassemble everything on your front axle except the pinion. And there aren't any outter seals on the dana 30.

it is a pita if you do not have a lift. u will need a threaded rod and washers to pull the seal into place. kthxbai

also make sure when you pull out the diff assembly mark the bolts and the hold downs and re-install exactly as they came out and torque to spec. Also watch for any shims or anythink
