go find a 33 spline 8.8 locker, eliminate your c-clips and find a bearing that's 1.592" inner diameter and the 8.8 housing end outer diameter then trim the shafts to fit
i don't think they make a 33 spline 8.8.
i would say your best shot at making them work is trying to find out if you can get 33 spline detroit spiders in a 8.8 detroit.
seems like more of a headache than its worth

not gonna lie sounds like way too much work. ideally i want to find one i can bolt on now with stock gears and then when i have enough money saved, re-gear, lock and what not. if i feel like taking on the project though, i'll hit you up.

i dont mind doing small mods, like shock mounts and spring perches so im actually really into tht. the only thought i have though is will it be too wide for my xj??

yea preferably. and when it comes to where to find them and what models out of what trucks will work im basically lost. i can do all the work to them thts gonna be required but when it comes to finding one that will work i'm trying my best to just stick to finding one out of an older xj.
