i found some 16x8's with 5" of backspacing, brings me in about an inch of what i am now for 70 bucks. thats the best i found so far with a 10.5" wide tire that would bring my width in 2". i could get away with the rearb eing under flares if i do that route, but the front will still have a good 5" hanging out
summit racing's wheel broswing system is very niezze
oh and last night i changed out my shock mounts on my dana sixxdee
they were fine in the location i had before (just inside of the inner u-bolt on each side) then when i built this jeep i snape'd all my upper shock mount bolts, so instead of drilling and tapping i just welded some xj rear swaybar brackets for bpe's and they lowered my shocks about 1.5" and made them bottom out before my bumpstops did.
now they are at the very bottom of the tube about flush with the u-bolt and out from the tube about an inch. (maybe it will combat axle wrap a teensie better) but i only put them like that to clear the u bolt anyway.
this gave me about an inch and a half of more shock compression which is perfect.

i swapped in 3/4 of a zj 60/40 rear bench seat today
ITS A VERY TIGHT FIT but doable with slight modification and no trimming of anything. just needed to drill a few holes and move a a few brackets on the bottom seats
ill get pics up eventually
but this allows me to carry 2 passengers and still have room for my spare tire, plus it looks cool

so i hate my life
ive been thinking
beadlocked 37" creepys+ dana44 is a bad idea
so now im thinking dookiner axles
but if i want to go through an axle build again, i want to get it out of the way and do it once
tru hi 9's in spyder housings, 35 splined
and now that i ahve the strength i can always get some 40" creeps, and aired down nicenice i would lose a little height so i would have maybe the same clearance as i have now
BUT THEN i will need to run street tires, probably the 35-37 flavor
so 5.38's will still do
but then to be decent with the crawl ration i would need to 4:1 my shit
but then the np231 is looking weak so i would dana300 that shit
then i need to rip apart my interior to make it fit
so yea, for me the next step is big and sucks

why would beadlocked 37's be a bad idea? just cuz of the extra weight of the beadlocks?

sam.... ur axle held up fine this weekend.
i was quite suprised with the way you bounced of rev limiter all day. i see people with 39.5s and beadlocked with 44 up front. and this kid BEEEAAAT the shit out of his
but if you win the lotto go all out i guess

why get a D300? build a dookin NP231. get a chevy 231 with a beef 6 gear planetary low range and 4:1 kit and a honkin 1.5" chain. no reason to toss the 60 you just built, so if you really want to splurge on a true hi9 just build a front. i know you wont really agree with me, but i still think you should look into a JK44 front. its HP, the shafts are dookin, and theyre cheap. just weld s'more beef round the toobz and truss it.

jk44 isnt a bad option
but
i need 6 lug and lockouts
i could probably live without the lockouts
but then i need 6 lug
its the perfect width and beefier than what i ahve now hp, etceterah.
im not worried about the 6 pinion planetary's how often do you hear about people blowing up the 3? never
