Im looking for a large piece of 3/8 or 1/4" (or larger) metal plate so I can build a flat belly skid. Needs to be at least 3 feet long. Let me know if you have anything. Thanks. Steve

I would build it out of thinner steel Steve and skin it with high density plastic.

I never even thought to skin it. Thats a great idea. What do you think, go with 3/16" or 1/8" metal if I skin it with 1/4" HDPE?

1/4" steel for a bellypan IMO. rib it for stength. layer the bottom with delrin/UMHW plastic if you feel adventurous.
3/8" and beyond is Way too much material.
