For 2 g's I would like something with lower miles, esp. if im going to dailyy drive. My first car was a corolla with only 92,xxx and was only 3,000 more. Quite frankly I think the dude is outta his mind.

12000 annual miles / 19 mpgs in jeep x 4.30 a gallon = $2715 annually
12000 / 30 mpgs in car x 4.30 = $1720 annually
So that means if you buy a car for 2500 you will need to drive it for 2.5 years to start making your money back in gas. Now If you tack on 1000 (optimistic cause it's more than that) bucks per year extra in insurance you will end up breaking even every year for the rest of your life, in other words you won't save anything. The thousand you save in gas per year will cost you back in extra insurance money.

Either way you won't save any money with the added cost of insurance. Hey I'm all for a daily junker so I don't have to fix my jeep every week to drive it. I do it.
