Yup, as some of you read the new plan in the 1996 XJ for sale thread, I will be now looking for a car to daily drive. Now it's gotta be a good deal, with average miles. It has to be automatic, 4cyl. Other than that... I just don't want something that i'm going to look at my jeep, and my car, and get in the jeep anyways.
But beggers can't be choosers.
So...

good job chris, what type of money are we talking here after u sell the 01??? I have founnd a shit load of cars for my dad around the 3-4g range and I also found cheaper ones as well. we're talking 98-2002 4 cyl vehicls such as civics and corollas. Go on craigslist and look in the new haven hartford area at the auto section and put a max of whatever you can afford for the price

yea, i had a 2000 silverado 1500 ,z71, v8, got slightly better gas milage than my xj, but i always ended up driving the xj anyway. that truck was just a waste of space and a waste of insurance money

Yeah. I can't really give a price until the xj sells, but I can't really sell the xj without another car. SOOO...with all that mind... I wouldn't want to go higher than 2000 for a car, but would probably end up settling for 2,500. yknow.
I had a corolla, i'd hate to have another just because then, I might as well have not fucked up and just bought a beater to begin with.
Yeah, ill start looking.
What do you guys think is a good small car...

my friend is picking up an 89 corolla from the orig. owner for 900 bucks soon. its got 61k on it.

those are the deals you need to look for IMHO. as for cheap+reliable+MPG look into the EEK cars by chrysler. plymouth sundance, dodge shadow, dodge spirit, dodge duster, plymouth acclaim..

a 2-dr 5 spd 4 banger will be 'quick' on the street (quick for 95 HP lol) and gt you at least 35 on the highway. they threw V6s in them too if you can find one.
