I just ordered up my plans for the bender I plan to build. If you havent seen this, they have very good reviews. I purchased the plans to build the air/hydraulic bender. I should be recieving the plans for it in shortly. Check it out. gottrikes.com/AH_tubebender.htm

Add up your costs first before you build it and then factor in your time vs. the price of a JD2 model 3. Basic benders like the Pro-tools 105 and JD2 model 3 are cheap. Its the dies that kill you.
A model 3 is only $295. You can add the air/hydrualic cylinder from harbor freight for $80 like I did.

If you want a specific die and you know what you want contact Keith @ www.Xtremecrawlers.com and ask for a package deal shipped for a 105 and a die.

When I do purchase a die (for whatever bender), I think I am going to go with a 1.75 die. Figure that is good for cages or the rear stinger i plan to build.
