i ran front locked open rear, as well as rear locked open front (well one hub was disengaged accidentally)
same exact setup and the rear locked owned the front locked. this is on trail not on road in snow.
we have also seen what wills rear locker on 35's would do against geno's front locker with rear limited slip on 35's
it's all weight distribution. when do you most often need traction? on hill slimbs you say? when climbing hills most of the weight is on the rear tires and very little on front.
and that "machine shop adapter work" all it is is a spacer that is like $1.29 from the dealer and you need to dremel out the hole 1/4" (dana35 to 44)

See that is the attitude that really pisses me off. "it doesent come with a sticker so you wouldnt want to do it." Its not aobut the fucking sticker or what ever, it about being simple to do. Winter is coming and i dont have a garage to work in so i want a simple bolt on setup. it has nothing to do with being able to sat i have tera flex disc brakes. tomorrow when i re read those links you posted and make sure i have everyting down pat i will decide wat i am gonna do. if in fact the crown vic brakes work easily enough then i will do those instead. But it still wont be under $100 b/c most J/Y stuff is junk so new rotors, $40, pads $20 ish, Calipers $60 both, Backing plates j/y, and i wills till ahve to figure out an e brake. I will also look deeper in to the zj setup and see if all it is is drillign a small hole. If it is in fact easier and cheaper to do one of those setups then i will put that extra cash towards a rear powertrax limited slip. Dont go around assuming that because i said the tera flex kit means i am some stupid kid that wants to brag about what stickers he has. Some people just dont have teh ability to do the custom work or the time and jsut want a kit to Bolt on. Like i said i am not fixed on anything, anything is open ofr discussion. As far as the rear locker, i will see what i have for cash and if i have enough in theory then i will order a rear powertrax no slip like wills to go along with my rear gears and install kits etc. NOW back to business, what about these home brew rear shock mounts? Links? pics? How to? i am very interested, i think its utter BS to have to pay $65 for Jks or similar when all it is a bolt and a small peice of bent metal.

So i have read the first thread on the crown vic brakes and the only thing i dont like is tha tone caliper is mounted foward and one is mounted rearward. Arent they supposed to be towards the rear? Next and lastly before i decide to do crown vic brakes is how to setup an e brake?
lastly, If the tj rubi mounting plate works with little modification then why not just use tj d 44 rear discs. i get a discount at the dealer too, I dotn see what else wouldnt bolt up right if the retainer plate fits. Then i would not have to put ford parts in my jeep.

As of today, Detroit locker, 4:56's and master OH kit are shipped and paid for.
Ordered most of the parts i need form the dealership for the TJ brakes, including a Loaded Backing plate(backing plate, caliper bracket, e brakes shoes and parts) and the retainer plates for the tj d 44 shafts.
I still need:
To order the Currie Ent. Brake line kit for the soft lines and required brackets,
Need to get to the parts store after i get paid to get the, Rotors, and pads, and stainless steel hard lines.
Then i need another Bone yard trip for a ZJ proportioning valve and used calipers to trade in as cores to new ones. (unless they are in good shape...doubtful)
WIll get pics up as parts arrive.
