It brings in true cold air, (better for the engine) and its a semi snorkle, so as long as i keep all water in mass quantity off the hood then there is no way for water to get in the intake because the entire air intake is sealed tight with silicone.
I will get hood vent pics tomorrow i hope.

Today the tera flex parts showed up. I got an entire new drivers side caliper bracket assy, including all e brake hardware and a full set of hardware to replace all the hardware on the jeep now, 8 new bolts and 8 new nuts (the 1 time use only lock nuts) as well as 2 new preload spacers for the bearing retainer plates and a tera flex magazine/book a HD Tera flex tool bag, and key chain.
I ordered a new set of D 44 xj retainer plates so i can leave th old shafts complete as trail spares and all new studs for the new shafts.
I am just waiting for my new Yukon shafts, and retainer plates to come in and i can get the new bearings pressed on and get my jeep on the road again.

OK so i have made a few mods and have made a new list of priorities.
So far i have high clearanced my arb front bumper to have better approach angles and be a bit nicer on the rocks. I plan to install a x member in it that will bolt to the factory x member in 8 places, then that will be welded to the unibody tie ins and the bumper itself and my new tow/recovery point will be a 2 inch receiver. I am picking up my steel for it next week. Once i get it all cut up i am having a local shop weld in sleves for all 8 mounting holes and the i will mock it up for final welding. the arb itself will then function solely as a brush guard/looks and the actual strength will be built in through that 2" receiver and that x member/tieins.
I am also working on making rear 1/4 panel sliders out of 1/4" plate steel that will be welded to my Detours rear bumper side rocker guards. it will start at the rear of the rear fender and be triangle shaped to the rear bumper just missing the shackle for maint/clearance reasons but supplying me with a nice hard surface to make as a rear slider.
Next i am ordering a set of TNT unibody stifiners that i will have welded to the unibody rails and then i will weld in my RE drop brackets because long arms are just plain out of the budget and my short arms and drop brackets perform just as good as any long arm setup i have gone up against so far and tie in my rock sliders to the unibody stiffiners.
Then i need to upgrade my shocks. I am going to get bilstein 5150s up front and prolly BBCS shocks rear in the shortest length possibly so i can raise my stock axle end shock mounts up a bit.
next i will finish up the rear storage tool box i have been building and make sure i have all the necessary equipment required for trail rides and exploration of the wilderness.
Finally i want to make a new belly skid that will protect more than just my t case.
I am sure there is more to do and this is not going to be done any time soon but i am tryign to get it all done before summer.

1/4" plate armor
holy overkill
bbcs in rear with raised shock mounts?
you will need like a 12 inch lift
shortest bbcs are 10" travel

Ok i ordered unibody stiffiners and tomorrow i will be replacing teh brake pads up front and the master cylinder so i can actually stop. Then i think my next project will e to finish up my rear tool box i started to build.
Oh and i ordered all teh necessary parts to do the bejing front end conversion to my jeep and that should be here within the next few months. I will keep you updated on that. Alex will be taking posession of my old front end parts as my donation to his new jeep.
I once again have a drivers side rear axle seal leaking as to why i dont knwo cause everything is new (shafts, selas etc) and i rtvd the retainer plate. its not as bad as before but i gotta get this fixed. I also have massive rear end gear whine that i need to get fixed as well before my gears are any more fucked tehn they already are.
Ahh so the list continues.

So i am getting my tom woods drive shaft fixed this week, new ball socket, 1 new u joint, and a new yoke. $100.
And my jeep is going to my mechanic on monday night to get the rear end checked out. All my seals are leaking even though they are all brand new, and he is gonna look in to why my gears are whining and what damage occurred from this, ie pinion bearings etc, he also thinks my pinion angle is a little off but we will see what happens, i know he wont screw me but this could get expensive very fast.
