My g/f's LJ Project, NEW POSER FLEXZ PICZ

Tomorrow i am picking up a set of 4 32x11.50r15 BFG at's for Kristas Tj unlimited. WE are getting them for $300 with nearly 90% + tread left. For now it will remain stock until after x mas.

We have an OME 2" HD kit that i have been told will net about 3.5" on a soft top tj like hers. On top of that i am gonna throw in another set of stock coil spring isolators (supposed to be 3/4" each)

These tires i am picking up tomorrow are only for winter since she has 0 tread left on her current 30x9.50 all terrains. I am gonna have them mounted up on thursday stock height so it will be interesting to see how much they rub/fit. They need to go on now b/c its winter and her jeep has 0 traction in the snow right now.

The lift will be installed prolly the week after x mas once we get Rubicon express shocks for it. If the tires are still pretty big for that setup we are gonna do a JKS 1.25" body lift.

Come spring/summer she is getting a set of 265/75/16 Cooper Discoverer Stt's and AEV Argent colored bridger wheels. Then we will sell the BFG's. She saw my Stt's and loved them so she wants some for hers.

It is a used lift and she wants it all to be nice looking so i am having the coils sand blasted and painted blue to match the graphic on the side of her jeep and the black leather seats with blue inserts i ordered her for x mas. (i used to work at an suto customizing shop so i gotz connections)

THIS IS A SHOW JEEP/ STREET QUEEN

I have already done a Pioneer head unit with Infinity front speakers and Alpine type s rears with a custom box i built for 2 10" Kicker CVR subs and a Kicker amp. In the future it will get more audio work done but this is it for now.

SOme day she wants to do a Dual exhaust setup with a Flowmaster muffler, and an AEM intake. Black stainless steel windshield/door hinges and what ever else she circles in the quadratec magazine. But thats all on the wish list.

This is the jeep as of now, Still has a long way to go. This all seems like alot to do/$$$ but we wheel my jeep and her jeep is the street queen so she wants to do what she wants with it. Realistlcally though, alot prolly wont happen since we want to get a condo next year too. We will see what happens when she is done college in the fall.

She wants to be able to enter it in to some local car/audio competitions one day.

fyi you dont need 5.5" of lift for 32's on a tj/lj

and those wheels are badass. i bet they cost a pretty coin too

The wheels are $179 each. Very badass.

AS far as lift goes, for now its gonna be stock on 32's for a few weeks.

the actual lift should be around 3.5-4" when done. We would only doa body lift if it looked bad but we prolly wont do it/need it.

AS far as wheeling goes, she wheeled her lifted 97 tj on 33's and now that i am saving for a DD and my jeep is the primary wheelign rig hers is Mall crawl duty.

Now she has a matched set of 5 32" bfg at's and 5 matching wheels.

the AT's are the best street tired ever made if you ask me, I would keep them on year round because without the tj/lj is useless the second it stops being sunny and dry out. as far as size, you can easily have 33's with that setup, I did on mine but be away of the tj front end sag, hopefully those ome coils are hd. you may end up just putting a 3/4" spacer in the front.

The coils are the HD coils, she is prolly gonna run 33's as well. These were only bought to get her through the winter, and it was a steal now for all 5. She drives so little a week that i should be able to get back some good coin for them in the spring/summer.


EDIT, i am not gonna use that 5 wheel, its so badly corroded on the inside of the bead that even if i wire wheel it it prolly still wont holda good bead. i have a stock steel 5 spoke that i will throw on there, its only a spare so it wont matter.

i am actually gonna take that alluminum wheel to the recycler and get back my $10 for it.

I Got the OME coils back form sand blasting and paint today, FUCK OLD POWDER COAT.

Here they are Freshly painted blue to go with the theme of the jeep. Not bad for $75 blasted and painted. Now she just needs new RE shocks.




Here are her new leather seats. i just have to remove the old fabric and put on the leather like i used to do at my old job. We are also getting JEEP embroidered in the front seats in blue on the black leather before they go in.

Here is her newly acquired 32" bfg at nearly new spare on one of my steelies. The bead has not been set yet, i just mounted the tire on the wheel quickly.

i actually like LJ's alot, it will either be an LJ or an XJ that I buy next.

IMHO an LJ is far superior to a TJ, she had a tj before and this handles much better, rides better, has more room and basically IS better.

i like the longer wheelbase with the storage capabilities of a Cherokee and the open air , convertibleness of a tj/yj. LJ for the win
