Steering box brace

I was wondering 1. is it worth it?
I already have a steering box reinforcement plate.

2. I just want the brace to make a copy of it, not to buy.

if it is, could you just make a cardboard template and trace it out onto metal?

I alrady have that on my jeep I made it for my tow hook brackets.
Well in clearer english I made home made 1/4" thick tow hook brackets that incorporate all the bolt holes on each frame rail.

My original post was about these steering box braces that are for sale. I have since read that it is unnecessary if you have the above mentione plate. Thanks though

ideally you have a plate on the inside and outside of the frame rails for the box

and NOT a brace style like the rustys one, which just leverages things
