so my 2nd AW4 is screaming at me to take it out... almost literally. need one, cheap preferably and lowest miles possible. i know i cant be picky when it comes down to price. beggers cant be choosers.

ill give you one for free if you wanna pull it yourself, the jeep has to go to the junkyard soon anyway. you have your choice of a recently rebuilt 1990 tranny or a 1994 tranny with 200k miles.

and how do you go through aw4's so much? neutral drops at 5 grand?

i dont do any neurtal drops at all. the first one went cuz of rusty lines that busted and caused me to fry the trans and the one that is in now has 170 on it and i guess was probably beat on before i got my hands on it cuz i knew it wasnt going to last when i put it in, but i needed it

hwo many miles on the recently rebuilt one, ill def take it though. should bolt right into my heep, just have to figure out when i can pick it up.

I like that idea! take the jeep! I was gonna get 100 bucks from the local junkyard for it, but i keep procrastinating and dont care anymore. Im in scituate RI 02857

and no idea of the milage on the rebuilt one, but it was rebuilt in 2000 by aamco and parked in 2005.

both trannys worked great when the jeeps were parked/died.

yea i would say the tranny and t-case is the only thing worth anything. (but i might want the t-case)

if you want the t-case that would be fine. id be picking it up with a trailer and my dad suburban so i think we'd be all set mike, but thanks. will it roll onto the trailer? should i bring tires?

hm... it can roll on 3 tires right now, if you have an old junked wheel bearring we can make it roll on 4
