take it and run ronny, 8.25 are supposed to be better than d35 and you need it, unless you want to slap that d30 with 3.55 in the front and call it a day.
i think youd be better off the the lower ratio

depends on the spline count. 27 spline is just as useless as a D35 and the 29 spline is a step under the D44, but there isnt a great aftermarket for it.

8.25 housing is gonna be stronger either way, and the ring and pinion are bigger

he isnt doing any offroading in his jeep anyway. so it really doesnt matter what he has, but then again, the reason he needs the rear end is because he destroyed the spiders in his d35 from burning out so much, so i gave him a d35 i had with 3.55s for the meanwhile but now he cant use fwd.
how do i know if my 8.25 is 27 spline or 29 spline?

if your jeep is pre 97 its almost guaranteed its 27 spline, and if its pre-96, its totally guaranteed its 27 spline.
97+ with very limited exceptions of 96s have 29 spline 8.25

Ypur buddy grenaded his spider gears by doing burnouts? did you flex on his face afterwards??

ive done my fairshare of burnouts and never really did any damage to my rear end.
some asshole who i let drive my 1st XJ did a burnout with it, bent the driveshaft, blew the ujoint and straps and broke the yoke.
