hey all im from east hampton ct, been wheelin for a while now. ive had a bronco and a xj
but since i totaled the jeep and sold the bronco im getting into a something a little bit more custom..
what im working with now is a 91 ford explorer( all stock) that i got for free
in the proccess of tearing the ttb out and the rear 8.8 and im gonna replace it all with 1 tons. with a 3 link susp.
drive train: 302 np205 with a doubler(that i had made for the bronco) with c6 tranny d60 front and rear with 4:88 gears
should be pretty nice when its done.. will post up some pictures as i go along with the build

the last exploder i saw on the trail, was a complete pile of shit.
just a few hints
don't have positive 30 degrees caster and a pinion touching your floor in the front
don't wheel on tsl's that might as well be slicks
don't couple together 2 26" stainless steel brake hoses for the front
don't tack weld angle iron to your tie rod in hopes it will make it stronger
don't not have ag as tank skid so when you hit it 6 gallons of gas blows out the fill hole
don't chop the top and not think to file down or at least paint the sharp jagged edges
you dont need a 10" lift and a 3" body lift
i thinks thats it
