1988 cherokee 5.5in lift(3.5 w/2in spacers), 5 32" BFG MT's, auto 242 t-case... great parts rig or trails and mud rig!
Hey guys, Im sellin an '88 xj i just picked up as a project, but my dad agreed to let me get a '99 so i dont need it now! Its got 5 inches of lift for all kinds of wheelin fun. Also installed:
new altenator
new starter
new TPS sensor
newer brakes
ball joints and wheel joints (not yet installed on driver side but have parts)
new idler pulley
new track bar
new tie rod ends
new tie rod tube
recent tune up
new ballast resistor
new ballest resistor
front drive shaft rebuilt
Cd player
And not really any rust. Just a smalllll hole in the rear floor.
This thing is definately a project rig that will be great for trails and mud. Its shown with 32" mt's, but im planning on keeping the tireds and wheels for the new rig. Ill prolly slap the new tires and stocks wheels form my stock '99 on there, unless you want to offer me a really good price! Im sellin this thing so I can get my lift, so im lookin to get $600 at least.
It needs new bar pins on the rear shocks cuz they got mangled and pulled off. The passenger side window is busted, but I know where to get one for $50 if youre interested. The rear hatch window fell out, but did not break. The sunroof is siliconed shut, not by me by previous owner. If i were keeping it, I would def. open that thing back up! Right now its not running, because it needs a new iginition switch, which I bough, but havent gotten around to/dont know how to put in. I may put it in at the end of the month when I have time if no one buys it. I towed it to a local garage in Madison to have them check it out and they showed me how to hot wire it to make sure it ran, and it did. We didnt run it for long though because i need to install a new heater control valve, whcih I also have and havent had time to do, so I dont want to run all the coolant out of the engine. Once I put that in it will run. If I dont get to intalling these parts to make it run, I can probably get a friend to trailer it to your house if youl ive anywhere near Killingworth (zip 06419). Pics are attached. O yea its got some actually pretty damn sturdy tube bumpers and like a 1" hitch on the back. The crapet is pullled, and the seats and trim are gutten behind the front seats. If interested, your best bet is to call my cell: 860-304-4725... my name is Brett, and leave a message if I dont answer! my email is brett.carrano@uconn.edu .... I check that usually daily. Ill also trade for a good condition RE or RC kit with full packs...
