I was wondering how much modification would be need to allow a rear Dana 44 from an International Scout II to fit in a Cherokee. Also does anyone have specs on a Scout 44?

first you gotta fold down your back seat, next, get a friend to help you lift it in the back of the jeep and its in.

you will need perches and shock mounts (cheap and easy) make sure you have the right pinion yoke size for your driveshafts (1310) maker sure it is manageable in width, and has the same lug pattern

doing it right now, stock gears vary fro 2.73 to to 4.27 and the came open or with track lock. if you have the year its from i can narrow down the specs some more., bolt pattern is 5 on 5.5, i got adapters for 70 bucks ebay. it is 59" wms to wms. and a jeep is like 60 or 61 so the adapters space it out to the right width. yes to perches and shock mounts, if you can weld you can pretty much do it
