Has anybody fabbed up a set of these? I did a search and came up empty, but maybe you call them something else. Or do you know of any place to get them made with heavier than 12 guage steel? I found these on Full Size XJ Gear.  |

i run the fullsizeXJ gear tail light boxes (97+ though), they are definitely Nice. but sadly he has stopped producing them. he sold the design to some other company i can look up later
i dont think anyone here has fabbup their own set but for a pre-97 id imagine they would be very easy

Thanks Will, i would appreciate that. How well have they held up for you? I just worry about the thinness of that guage of steel. Yea, I figure they would be easy to fab, but we don't have ANYTHING necessary to do that. No garage, no welders, no friends with welders, and the know-how to do it.

Thanks for the Rusty's link. What guage steel are his? George wants a little heavier guage steel.
And he wants to get some LEDs he saw at a truck stop.
Any further advice would be welcome!

Not sure what guage... but thick enough. I kept doing this to the stock tail lights.  |

yeah the gauge isnt huge but the fact theyre small and bent really strengthens them. theyre all pretty similar in gauge and ive hit mine a few times and all it has done is scuff the powdercoat on em
i run LEDs in em as well

just get some stock taillights with a reverse magnetic pull like mine.
kinda rare though, they only seem to come on forest green 91 xj's with the laredo package

i like my boxes too..  They are 12 gauge steel, you could make them if u have a boxbreak or make them with steel plates and a welder.. but its so much easier just to pony up the 100 bucks.. |

sam can no longer say he has reverse magnetic pull tail lights. He bashed his up recently.
