Within the next 2 months we will be install the lift in Kristas Unlimited. THIS IS A STREET QUEEN ONLY!! Lift will include: 2" OME coils, JKS Adj Trac Bar, Bilstein 5100 shocks, (or re twin tubes) JKS 1.25" Body lift, Tera flex Front swap bar disconnects, JKS rear trac bar relocation brkt, 285/70/r17(33x11.50) BFG AT's on brand new 04 WJ Freedom Edition wheels with 1.25" wheel spacer/adapters to 5.5" bolt pattern. Thats the specs as of now. What i am wondering is since i cant find a se tof longer rear swap bar ends or rear swap bar disconnects can i remove teh swap bar totally and keep the GOOD On Road handeling or shoudl i keep searching for a set of stock elongated rear swap bar ends? the jeep: the new wheels: the lift (before i get the coils blasted and repainted solar yellow)

i would just leave the rear on. of course i dont drive a TJ, but i wheeled with people who did for awhile, and they didnt seem to suffer by leaving it on...perhaps someone with some real TJing knowledge can get in here

Yea, thats why i want extentions for the rear, a non disconnect setup so it will still handle good but can mall crawl too but i wont have to dissconnect it.

www.rubiconexpress.com/Products.aspx?pn=1670&Vid=AF9AAB3568699here this might work you really dont want to remove the rear sway bar for the reason that TJ have coils and the the sway bar limits the side to side movement of the coils. that is the only reason you can get away with it on the cherokees is because the leafs dont allow that movemet.

TJs have rear trackbars to eliminate side to side movement for the most part

Wonderful, this is exactly what i was looking for.

She is french, greek, native american indian, and italian ftw, it had a cheesy yellow one on there that was fadding and peeling when we bought it, so we took it off, but it looked too plain w/o it so we put a cheesy blue on it to sharpen it up a bit. Plus i got a discount on it at my old job. the old graphic.

Alright, just my 2 cents:
For the lift your doing, get a drop bracket for the rear track-bar, and take the rear sway bar out. you dont need it and most likely will enjoy the way the car handles more afterwards. Most people believe that like older wranglers, TJ's short wheel base was the cause for the cars to want to roll. Although it helps the vehicle to roll, it is actually the rear sway bar that initiates the roll. when going around a turn, the body of the vehicle leans out, causing the sway bar to pick up on the inside tire, which causes a roll. Since I took mine out, I can take turns faster now, being lifted on 35"s, than I could comfortably when it was stock. to be perfectly honest, you dont need a rear sway bar. especially with the longer wheelbase of an unlimited. Id say take it out and put in a polyurathane body lift. they reduce roll compared to the factory rubber mounts. if you do that then eliminate the sway bar, i doubt you would notice any difference in driving characteristics on road.
like i said, just my 2 cents...

I think i will try it w/o the sway bar before spending money on the re links it can always be put back in. if it rides and handles fine then i will leave it. It handles 100x's better than her old 97 tj and i am goign with the jks 1.25" body/motor lift combo worked great on the old tj. That and BFG at's are out of the question cause of price to get them for 17" rims so we are getting a deal on ebay on two practically new toyo open country ats and will buy 3 more at town fair tire and get teh free allignment.

leave the rear "swap" bar on as is, a tj without the front sway bar on road is sketchy - much worse than the xj, and without the back its down right scary. and get the jks quick disco's.

its much worse not having the front hooked up than it would be the rear. the front sway bar is a must in my opinion. I still think its useless to have a rear in tho.

I should have said, both off is down right scary. leaving the rear on with the stock links wont hurt anything though with 2" lift though or significantly hurt your flex (even though your not wheeling it) so I would leave it on. in fact you could leave on the stock front links as well with that lift.
