We got the rear locker installed last week, it's a Detroit NoSpin. And we had the gearing changed to 4:10. We have about 100 miles on it now, do we still have to take just small trips? Or can they be longer? And the front gears and locker are not done yet, probably this week. Ected locker up front.

generally you want to give the gears some good heat cycles before break in. general driving works fine as long as you get up to speed for a good period of time then stop do do whatever ya gotta to then repeat. others say a good 500 miles then you can beat on them all you want. just remember to change the fluid once broken in.

Yes!!! Now that's what I wanted to hear! I mean read. Whatever. Tired of the little trips. Really can't wait to see how they work on a trail. But that will have to wait for another 400 miles or so.

just dont push the envelope when youre drivin, a cool 65 will be fine. thats at least whats recommended. my first gear job i did everything by the book this latest one i wheeled it at 140 miles and as of right now i still only have 330 and will probably wheel it again before 500, no issues yet of course i dont recommend that

I had a good 150 miles on my new gears and lockers on the last trip to Mabelle. My jeep has not moved since. The next time it moves is to go to the meet and greet.

You know, come to think of it, If i didn't spend half of every paycheck on firearms and ammo, I'd probably have 2 cars as well.

"guns aren't toys - they're for family protection, hunting dangerous or delicious animals, and keeping the king of England out of your face!"

UPDATE: We hit the 500 mile mark for the rear gears. YAY! And the front gears and the Ected are going in on Saturday. He says that we should be good to go after a few heat cycles on the front ones. Remind me to post up what George thinks of the Ected after it's been used for a while. Oh! And when we go around sharp bends, the back tires bark a little. It's kinda funny!
