so ive been reading up about axle swaps lately and noticed the toyota 8". seems to be a good option. how would you folks go about building it up? Ive heard it can run 37's without breakage, so it seems perfect to me. any help is appreciated, as im trying to get this jeep trail worthy and not mall worthy

this thread is funny for too many reasons that honestly have nothing to do with you man haha
but take it from me from seeing other people taking this road, do not run that, as James put it, "Camry rear end". sure the shafts are strong, but the ring and pinion leave something to be desired... i.e. smaller than a stock cherokee one.

with the other, less expensive, stronger options out there why would you even think of putting something with an 8" ring gear in your jeep

an 8.8 or 44 with new shafts are the most commonly used/documented, if its an xj its pretty much a no brainer and an easy/cheap project
