my 88 comanche which has a 4.0 non high output but yes to the fuel injection usually runs good but sometimes when i accelerate at a normal pace in second or third and sometimes fourth gear it will hit around 2000 rpms and sort of fall on its face as if it were running out of fuel. it just had a full tuneup plugs wires cap rotor fuel filter and air filter so it isn't any of that and it had this same problem before the tune up. i'm thinking a lazy fuel pump any ideas?

i'd say either that, the lazy fuel pump, a vacuum leak somewhere, or a dead cylinder.. listen to it for the dead cylinder, spray some carb clean around at the hoses for the vacuum and check the fuel pressure, i know there is a guage for it.
