ok.. all this talk about flesing ability in relation to lift and tire sizes... i have a 6 inch lift at the moment ( i dont belive it is sitting 6 inches higher than stock suspension due to extra added weight but bare with me) with 33" tires.... now im one of those guys who likes big rigs and big flex... the 6" is jsut a short arm setup but i was planning on upgrading to a long arm 8" lift and 35's... now in all of your opinions would this help my capability, make it worse or not change it all that much??... and eventually some D44's are going under there but thats not a near future project... i think with making it a long arm and with the bigger springs it will help me... though i am aware i will be raising the center of gravity which is obviously going to work against me... so im debating i obviously like low cog. put it this way: would you rather scrape a skid plate or crush your roof? with lockers and good flat skids you can easily slide over most rocks. if i ran a setup like 8" and 35's on stock width axles i would have rolled it a long time ago and many times since.

well i am more about the bigger rigs but i dont want to hurt myself with capability, i dont mind modifying the fenders... i was planning on eventually buying flares from rusty's and modifying the fenders anyway... you think i would be better of just upgrading my lift to a longarm and slappin on the 35's with just some fender modification?

and as said and proved earlier in this thread: you can run low lift, big tires and flex up a storm

add some lockers to your rig right now and it would walk all over any unlocked superflexing rig on 44's.

I have the absolute perfect example to show you, anyone at the jeep show in somers last summer will totally get this This MASSIVE "XJ" literally couldnt even enter the rock garden, i seriously mean that he could not get past the point this pic was taken at. Yet this stock XJ completled the whole garden hows that for an example of size vs setup

are you serious?? well i deff agree that the top one is so over-done that its pretty much for show at that point... but those rocks are pretty small
