when loaded, such as slow rolling brake stands, I get a rolling thump along with it that feels like it comes from the middle of the vehicle.. any ideas, people? ujoints seem intact and in shape.

if it happens when your only on the brakes i can bet your front rotors are slightly warped. it will get more and more evident as time goes on if that is truly your problem.

no no, front brakes/rotors were inspected not 2 weeks ago, they are fine and new pads were applied. it's in the drivetrain, it happens going up steep hills in 2wd, and slightly less in 4wd.

does the thump vary in speed with the your RPMs? or does it vary in speed with the wheel revolutons? or the driveshaft revolutions (bout 3.5x per wheel revolution for you)
that will narrow it down

it pretty much always feels the same. the speed varies slightly with the amount of speed i got going.
