do i go and lock the d44 with an aussie or some other locker? if so what locker is best for the cheapest price. preferably lunchbox.

i do not have a locker but when i buy one it will be a powertrax or detroit....
i have done a lot of research and almost owned one ...but waiting to get a 44 before i lock anything,,,
powertrax being the lunch box option...
also lock the 44 before locking the front 30..You'd be surprised what open/open can do...if not rear 44 locked...wheel on that first...

spool!!! haha i would rock one but thats me.
i would never own a lunchbox locker again
i would get (in this order and depending how much money i had)
detroit, arb, ox, spool/welded spider gears
and if i didnt have enough $ for a detroit/arb i would just wait and save up more money and just do it right the first time.

aussie has been out of dana44 lockers for over a year, i remember when i got my 44 in spring last year and called them up, and they said they wouldnt have them for a couple more months when a big shipment comes in, well a year later they are still on backorder.

I ran just a front locker for a while and I think that is better than having just a rear locker. I like being able to be pulled up a ledge instead of having to bump up it for example. I ran an Aussie in front and it was great.

i vote rear because while going up a hill you have more weight on the rear tires, and your front tires have much less weight on them.
i used to think it was more benficial to have a front locker, and it is in some instances, but the more i thought about and the more rigs i saw in action, the more i leaned towards to beleiving a rear locker is better.

X2 on that... need a rear locker in more situations than a front

i think im going to be sticking with the LSD in the rear with no locker in front until i regear. i have heard some good things about the lsd and skitch you are right in the fact that open/open can do a lot, a lot more than ill be doing. so im going to stick with lsd and no front locker until i regear and then spend money on other things that i need.
