i dont care locked or open or 35's or 40's or 31's......front rear etc. The Driver has just as much to do with "getting up the hill" as the Vehicle. IMO

Agreed, Skitch. It just depends on how bad you want to beat on your Jeep though.

Lock the d 30 first. I am putting a d 44 in my 98 and leaving it open for now and locking the front withan ezlocker (they work great)then i will save for a selectable locker for the d 44. Reason being, I have driven both a rear locked jeep and a front locked jeep and the front locked jeep will pull itself out before the rear locked jeep pushes it self out.
Think of it like this what goes better in the snow a rear wheel drive or frotn wheel drive. its easier to drive a frotn wheel drive in the snow than a rear wheel drive. also why so many people strive for a twin stick t case so they can have fwd lo.
The front will always pull you out of what the rear will get you in to. I would be willing to prove this on the trails too.

i just want to wait till i have the money for regear instead of buying a locker for 3.55s and then having to buy new ones for 4.56 or whatever i regear to.
