I spent another couple hours on my rig this afternoon and still got nowhere. Destroyed another pitman arm puller, a dead cow horn, and tried a pitman arm separator with no luck. Attempted to drill out the fucking mother fucker of a cold welded stripped bolt that is holding on my passenger side uca with no luck. I didnt even attempt to get my track bar off that fucking drop bracket that WONT LET GO. Duno what to do at this point... all of this shit needs to get done and im out of ideas and the will to work on my jeep. pics: steering right now... attempting to pull the pitman arm yet again... attempt at drilling out the uca bolt but my fucking gold dewalt drill bits cant seem to get any further: parts that need to go in: what I hope the finished product will be with dakota leaves: as it sits now:

have u been using a lot of penetrating oil ala PB blaster?
my suggestion, just remove the fuckin steering box and pick up another for cheap if you can. only if you absolutely positively cant get that stupid pitman off. but if u do go that route, i have another arm i can dig up somewhere u can have for nothin for the new box if u need it.
otherwise, try torching it, and theres this stuff on the market called Freeze something or other, its compressed air or something thatll rapidly freeze steel to break it free, so torch or that or both and im sure itll come off.

have u been using a lot of penetrating oil ala PB blaster? yeah its been drowned I have a new dropped pitman arm, hence the need to remove the old one. No access to a torch so I guess ill see if I can find that freeze stuff or a new box.

the freeze stuff may not work. the pitman arm is INTENSE metal compared to most everything else down there. its forged steel. and im sure the steering box output is intense as well. it may be worth it to get a new box for cheap if the arm is breaking pullers left and right. may be worth it to search naxja or ask there as well too as to wat people have done, cuz i know this isnt the first time ive heard of this

Your kidding right? Cut the pitman on each side vertically with a die grinder or angle grinder. Then hit it with a hammer. It will fall off.

Your gonna get leaks from your steering box if you keep beating on it. I suggest just cutting the pitman arm off very carefully. Make a good slice in it and it should come off no problem.

James, Your gonna have to use an oxy acetaline torch and burn that bolt out. I know exactly what a bitch it is to take those UCA's out.

do this.. use some sort of cutting wheel and cut through the metal on opposite ends of the pitman arm.. dont go all the way through but make sure you've made it good and deep from trop and bottom, take a chisel and beat the snot out of it, it should put the pitman arm in half..

I can drive it up there with the one upper if you do. If not I may take 93xj up on that griswold trip. Gonna try my angle grinder on the pitman arm this evening, I figured the metal was too hard to try and cut but ill give it a shot
