I used to see them all the time on NAXJA but for some reason I am not using the right search bait. I can always just figure it out but its nice to see how others went about it. I checked Phil's out on the trail and it looks fairly simple.
Thanks in advance Dave

With a 4.5" angle grinder you can cut the fenders like butter, wish I had done that from the start instead of using a sawzall at first. basically tape the formation you want, and go slow and steady. For the back, make note of where the pinch seem is a dont cut above that ... in fact, cut below it, then make a cut adjacent to the other cut maybe 3/4" every inch or so and bend the leftover into the wheel well

Fuck the pinch seem.
Here is what you do, remove the rear flares and with a black magic marker, dot where the pinch welds are, you dont want to cut through those, instead, you want to cut between then.
Use a sawzall and cut between the pinch welds
hammer those into the fender, and you are done. You cna be all fancy and get liner and hid the stuff like I did, but it works and you easily get 2 inches of fender clearance. for the rear.

Use a die grinder, not an angle grinder. The job will come out much cleaner. Also put masking tape everywhere and trace your line with a sharpieon it, then cut. Afterwards, use an angle grinder with a curved wheel and run that on the inside of the fender to take the burrs off. Then from the inside of the fender, spray some paint on the back side and your done.

So I want to trim my fronts nad make it look as clean as possible, then trim a tiny bit off the rear while retaining the flares. I can get tj/yj flares but personally don't like the look.
I want the fronts to have just a little lip to them to put on black trim which I can do, but what can I do to the back to retain the flare?
